Be Smart and be Healthy

Everybody can eat healthy on a budget. How can you eat healthy on a budget. Not too long ago I went to Walmart and I bought chicken breast and salmon and albacore tuna and walnuts and dark chocolate and red wine and I got to the counter and I had about 20 items and it cost me almost $300 I was aghast. I thought to myself this is the last time I’m going to do this. So I started doing some research and I started looking for high protein foods lean fats that were cost-effective. So what I came to the conclusion was 2X huge amounts of boneless skinless chicken breasts. You can get a 10 pound bag for 1890 at some Walmart stores. Now I’m not an advocate for shopping at Walmart because you can find these deals and other places I just so happen to find it at Walmart in this particular instance. The next thing you need to do is find high fiber foods. Oatmeal is my go-to food. And let me tell you oatmeal is very inexpensive and it’s very very good for you. You can put oatmeal and just about anything. Hell you could even put it in some lean ground beef and call it meatloaf. I eat oatmeal like it’s going out of style. It is a little bit calorically dense and it’s a carbohydrate but remember that your body doesn’t absorb carbohydrates the same way or excuse me high-fiber carbohydrates the same way as it does simple carbohydrates. Oatmeal is a slow-burning fibrous carbohydrates which means it has a high glycemic excuse me it’s got a low glycemic index it is low on the glycemic index it is a complex carbohydrate. Captain Crunch is high on the glycemic index it is a simple carbohydrate. Don’t eat Captain Crunch eat oatmeal. You can also get boxes of shredded wheat with your relatively inexpensive I found a large box of Kellogg’s Shredded Wheat for $2.30 at Walmart. Fruits and vegetables are absolutely necessary I buy the Frozen fruits that go into non-fat yogurt because they’re cheaper than buying their fresh counterparts. Frozen blueberries frozen raspberries frozen strawberries go really good in nonfat yogurt. Use Splenda or Stevia leaf to sweeten the yogurt microwave the frozen fruit for 1 minute on her head it’s softens it. So there’s my few tips for the day use them don’t use them it’s up to you just remember what I say be smart.
